What should i do for my mom’s 40th Birthday?
my aunt and i are trying to set up a big party for my mom’s 40th birthday and i don’t know what to do.please help!
1. Take her to her favorite restaurant serving her favorite food. Hopefully it is one that has the staff come out and sing for Birthdays.
2. Celebrate her 12th occurance of her 29th birthday (once for 29 years and 11 more). Makes her feel younger. Forty is not old anymore.
3. Invite her family and friends to bring their own favorite recipies to her party — this is often called pot luck. Works real nice if she has not seen her family and her old friends.
Finally for the jokers in the audience:
If she does not mind jokes, bake her a cake and ice it with black icing. Put a phrase on it that you think you can get away with. The black color signifying near death since people wear black at wakes. THIS is NOT for those who are easily offended. THIS can be funny if you bring the cake to her workplace if she works outside the home and if the workplace does not object. The fun thing is you can tell who sneeks a piece of cake early because black icing (made from vanilla icing with all the colors added from cake coloring) does not wash off the teeth so easily. You can add the color to the cake as well.
